Authenticity is the foundation of our marketplace. This policy explains how we verify every watch before it's listed for sale, and what happens in the rare case something doesn't check out.

Our authenticity guarantee
Guarantee
Every watch sold through Timepiece Luxury Inc. is guaranteed 100% authentic. If a watch you purchase from us is ever determined not to be genuine, we will provide a full refund upon return of the item, no matter how much time has passed since purchase.
How we authenticate a watch
Before any watch is listed for sale — whether sourced from a private seller, dealer, or trade-in — it goes through a multi-point authentication process conducted by our team.
Movement inspection
The movement is examined against manufacturer specifications for the reference, including caliber markings and construction details specific to genuine production.
Case and dial verification
Case markings, serial and reference numbers, dial printing, and lume application are checked for consistency with known genuine examples.
Documentation review
Any accompanying papers, warranty cards, and service records are reviewed for consistency with the watch and its ownership history.
Second review
A second member of our team independently reviews the findings before a watch is approved for listing.
Serial numbers and provenance
Where possible, we cross-reference a watch's serial number and production details against manufacturer records and known databases to help confirm its history and flag any prior theft or fraud reports. We disclose what we know about a watch's provenance on its listing, and we're transparent when full ownership history isn't available.
Watches submitted by sellers
The same authentication standard applies to every watch submitted to us for sale or trade. A watch that does not pass authentication will not be purchased, listed, or accepted in trade, and we'll explain our findings to the seller directly.
If an issue is identified after purchase

- We'll arrange for the watch to be reviewed, either by our team or an agreed independent authenticator
- If the watch is confirmed not to be authentic, you'll receive a full refund upon its return, covered by our authenticity guarantee
